To get a difficult or ambitious job done , work at the supporting mechanisms first. Do not apprehend the whole as it will force you to rush, adopt easier approaches which can be conceptually understood in their entirety or avoid the task completely, overly daunted at the enormity of it. Work methodically to build natural momentum.
found this approach a good one when working for an exhibition. It's simply a Zen approach I suppose : consider the arrow not the target.
